Definition : TPE
TPE is an acronym for "Très Petites Entreprises". A TPE is defined as a company with fewer than 10 employees and annual sales of less than €2 million.
According to INSEE, 99.9% of the companies in France are VSEs/SMEs. Among these 99.9% of VSEs/SMEs, most are VSEs, i.e. about 3 million in France.
How to evaluate a VSE?Â
There is no single "ideal" method for valuing a VSE. The methods used need to be adapted to the VSE's activity, sales growth and capital intensity. Your XVAL consultant will advise you on the methods used to value your VSE. Usually, 3 methods are used, with a final valuation obtained via a weighted average of the different methods used.
It is important to note that, depending on the sector, there are specific practices and methods of valuation that are often accepted as the norm by the players in the sector.
