How to estimate an IPT?
In order to estimate an IPT as clearly and fairly as possible, several valuation methods exist. The best way to correctly estimate an IPT is to combine several methods in order to obtain a weighted average that will correspond to the final valuation.
The methods most often used are the following: profitability, patrimonial, DCF, comparative...Â
Why order an estimate for TPI?
At the request of the manager, or his partners, an IPT estimate is made in several situations requiring it. It can be to follow the creation of value that the IPT produces but also within the framework of a purchase or a sale of the company, of a bank financing, of an estimation of the manager's patrimony, of a preparation of succession, of a divorce of partners...Â
