Company estimate
How to make a business estimate?
Usually when estimating a business valuation of a company3 valuation methods are usually used: comparative, profitability, asset valuation. Each valuation method will have to be adapted (financial restatements, etc.) to the specificities of the sectors concerned. A weighted average will then be established to obtain the final valuation.
Why do a business estimate?
A business valuation can be requested for several reasons, divided into two categories. The first category concerns regular estimates, allowing to follow the value creation of the company. The second category are the exceptional estimates:
- purchase or sale of the company
- preparation of succession
- application for bank financing
- asset valuation
