Why value a company?
There are many reasons for wanting to increase the value of your company. These reasons can be divided into two main categories: regular valuations and exceptional valuations.
The purpose of regular valuations is to monitor the company's value creation.Â
The exceptional valuations concern in particular:
- the purchase or sale of the company
- the estimation of the assets
- an application for bank financingÂ
-preparation of an inheritance or a divorce
How to value a company?
In order to obtain a coherent and justifiable valuation, 3 valuation methods are usually used: the method by comparison, by return value, by asset value. These 3 methods combined will allow to obtain a weighted average, which will allow to know the final valuation of the company.Â
